After Kombi the sedan follows. Volvo puts the S60 in the dealers' showrooms. First, there are only upscale lines, but no more diesel.
After the Volvo V60 (station wagon) came on the market already in the summer 2018, the Swedes are now pushing the notchback sedan. The S60 can be ordered at prices starting from 43.200 Euro, at the dealer the models are middle of the year.
Zunächst sind zwei Turbo-Benziner (T4 mit 140 kW/190 PS und T5 mit 184 kW/250 PS) sowie als T8 eine Plug-in-Hybrid-Version mit einer Systemleistung von 288 kW/390 PS vorgesehen. Die Kraftübertragung erfolgt jeweils über eine Achtgang-Automatik, der T8 verfügt zudem noch über Allradantrieb. Eine Dieselvariante wird es für den S60 nicht geben.
The T5 costs 4.000 Euro more than the T4 and comes on 46.200 Euro. This makes the S60 T5 around 3.500 Euro cheaper than a similarly equipped V60 T5. The T8 starts in S60 from 59.150 Euro. Initially, only the upscale "R-Design" equipment will be available for market launch, while the plug-in hybrid can also be ordered with the comfort line Inscription.
The more popular combination variant in Germany is in connection with a 110 kW / 150 PS strong diesel from 37.500 Euro to have.
