With the ID.4, the E-SUV ID.5 gets a not quite as practical but more elegant sister model. If you decide spontaneously for this version, you have to start at a higher price than the ID.4.
VW takes for the ID.5 called coupé version of the electric SUV ID.4 from now on orders. The hatchback model, which will be available from the beginning of 2022, will initially be offered in the rear-wheel drive versions Pro and Pro Performance with 128 kW / 174 PS or 150 kW / 204 PS, as well as in the preliminary top version GTX with 220 kW / 299 PS. The two weaker models accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in 10,4 and 8,4 seconds respectively and reach a maximum of 160 km / h. The all-wheel drive GTX completes the sprint in 6,3 seconds and manages up to 180 km / h. A 77 kWh battery is used as energy storage in all versions, which enables ranges of up to 521 kilometers.
What should the ID 5 cost?
The prices for the ID.5 start at 46.515 euros for the Pro, the Pro Performance is at least 47.550 euros, and the sporty GTX variant starts at 53.515 euros. For comparison: For the sister model ID.52, which is also offered with a 4 kWh battery, prices start at around 39.000 euros.
