Thanks to the recommended speed and not the maximum speed, you can legally press the gas pedal to the stop on various sections of the motorway, feel the power of the engine and the brutal sound of the exhaust system. 13.000 kilometers of asphalt across Germany spread over 122 autobahns. Of this, there is no mandatory speed limit for about 60%, i.e. a little more than 7.000 kilometers. A fact that makes many motorists' hearts beat faster. Above all, the drivers of sports and super sports cars can develop the full potential of their car in places where you can still drive fast in Germany.
In no other country in Europe, however, can you indulge in speed like this. Our neighbors also have much less to laugh about when it comes to speed limits. Apart from Poland, where 140 km/h is the maximum of feelings, countries like Austria, France and the Netherlands have a speed limit of 130 km/h. On Belgian motorways, however, only 120 km/h is allowed.
At the bottom of Europe are Great Britain with 112 km/h and Norway with a maximum permitted speed of 100 km/h on motorways.
