The Divo costs 5 million euros and is the highlight of the Bugatti portfolio
With the Bugatti Divo, Bugatti Automobiles SAS has added a new highlight to its super sports car portfolio. Each one of the 40 copies costs around five million euros. Equipped with a lot of carbon, "Divo Racing Blue" accents set dynamic color contrasts on the surface of the supercar. Our magazine presents you today with the most beautiful Bugatti Divo photos.
Bugatti Divo – French supercar par excellence
Technically a Chiron, visually an aerodynamic marvel
In terms of technology, the Divo is based on the Bugatti Chiron. There are also only minor changes in the interior. Visually, however, it is a completely independent vehicle with many aerodynamic adjustments. An enlarged rear spoiler ensures even more downforce, a front spoiler for downforce. Many small, newly designed details slim it down by 35 kilograms compared to the Chiron.
[dropcap size=big]380[/dropcap]As a road version, it's 40 km/h slower than its big/little brother, the Bugatti Chiron. This is due to the increased wheel camber, which electronically limits the Divo to 380 km/h. However, this should still be enough to be in the left lane on the Autobahn. The Bugatti Divo was developed for the racetrack. And even for that he has more than enough super sporty potential.1.500 hp for 2,4 seconds to 100 km/h
Its torque literally melts the asphalt. It is 1.600 Nm. Its 1.500 hp from the 8-liter W16 engine accelerate to 2,4 km/h in 100 seconds.
Its name is a tribute to the works racer Albert Divo. He won the legendary Targa Florio twice in 1928 and 1929 with a Bugatti T35. A historic hill climb in Sicily held until 1977.
Bugatti Divo – The most beautiful photos of the super sports car
Much has been written about the Bugatti Divo. Today we want to let the pictures of the French super sports car speak for themselves once again. That's why we've put together the 10 most beautiful photos of the Bugatti Divo for you here in our sports car magazine.
The designers of the Divo had the task of developing a vehicle that would look different from the Chiron. However, at first glance it had to be unmistakably a Bugatti. The aim was to retain the three most important Bugatti style elements: the typical Bugatti signature line on the vehicle sides, the horseshoe on the front grille and the characteristic fin derived from the Type 57 Atlantic. It also determines the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
Numerous small fins, in total there are 44 pieces and all from the 3D printer, form the rear lights of the super sports car from Molsheim. The fins are wider at the outer edge, which creates a more intense light. Towards the middle of the vehicle, the fins become narrower and the light gradually weaker. They make the Divo eye-catching and unmistakable.
The rear wing of the Divo serves as an airbrake
The characteristic center fin, which runs from the front of the vehicle over the roof to the rear wing, serves an important purpose. It prevents the air above the Divo from being too turbulent and causing turbulence on the rear wing. The rear wing alone is 1,83 wide. It is 23 percent larger than the Chiron. Due to its adjustability, it acts as an airbrake.
The outer shell of the Divo was uncompromisingly designed for lateral acceleration. The primary aim was to achieve optimum aerodynamic and thermodynamic efficiency. And the developers have delivered. Namely a breathtaking vehicle that is second to none.
