Cheaper than Dacia Spring

Actually, the Dacia Spring, which will be available from autumn at 20.500 euros, will be the cheapest electric car in Germany in the future. But the Freze Nikrob EV costs only half as much.

The bodybuilder Dartz from Lithuania, known for his martial SUV conversions, has entered the electrical business with the revived car brand Freze. The first model is the four-seater Nikrob EV, which is essentially the Hongguang Mini EV from Wuling, which is particularly popular in China. In January 2021, the Mini EV even won the title of the most successful electric car with 37.000 new registrations in its home country. Since March, Dartz has been importing the tiny electric vehicle to Lithuania for final assembly in order to officially offer it in the EU at a price of 9.999 euros. This makes the Nikrob EV the cheapest electric car in this country too. Compared to the Hongguang counterpart, which is offered in China for less than 4.000 euros, this is still a proud price.

Technically, the Nikrob EV is largely identical to its China twin. Dartz only makes a few changes to the lighting and safety equipment. The 2,90 meter short and 13 kW / 18 PS strong Nikrob is available with either a 9,2 or 13,8 kWh battery. It should drive a good 100 km / h and almost 200 kilometers.
