Does Automotive Journalism Matter?

Ralph Becker posted an interesting video on his site.

Basically, it's about what I've always wanted to do. Talking, writing and making a living from cars.

Prepared in 9: 56m - thanks to Ralf, thanks to you I stumbled upon it today.

And for me the answer is clear: you no longer need auto-journalism. And I say that even though I'm a member of a car journalists' association. But that's part of the "you have to play the game with the existing rules first" - before you can be part of the change.

Objective car tests are illusions - the automotive industry needs subjective reports - anyone who thinks they can “objectively” judge two vehicles is subject to a sophisticated deception of their own frame of reference. Objectivity arises for the “consumer” when he obtains information from many different sources and does not simply consume it, but is involved in the process of story-telling.

Social media will turn so much upside down here. Cool. Count me in.
