The long-awaited new one Hypercar from Mercedes finally drives off. But initially only digitally.
Before the Mercedes-AMG Project One hits the real road, the hypercar first celebrates its premiere on the game console. The hybrid bolide is part of the fleet of the Xbox game "Forza Horizon 5", which will now be presented at the digital games fair Gamescom (August 25th to 27th). Mercedes-AMG was involved in the programming of the virtual super sports car: acceleration, braking, steering and agility as well as the active aerodynamics that can be experienced should correspond to the characteristics of the future road model. Very few can verify that: The brand's new flagship is only being built 275 times.
AMG Project One will soon be on the road too
The Mercedes-AMG Projekt One had its premiere in the form of a show car at the IAA 2017, the market launch was initially announced in 2019. Because there were problems with the approval of the 775 kW / 1.054 PS engine, delivery was postponed to 2021. Accordingly, the first copies of the coupé, which cost around 2,7 million euros, would have to roll onto the road in the next few months.
