🔌🚗 Security update for the Ora Funky Cat from Great Wall Motors

In response to criticism from ADAC Great Wall Motors has released a security update for the electric-Ora Funky Cat small car announced.

The update addresses an issue with the charging connector locking mechanism. So far it could Charging cables be pulled from the socket in the vehicle during the charging process, although current is still flowing. This risk is eliminated by the new update.

Great Wall Motors has confirmed that the update will be applied to all new vehicles starting immediately. Models that have already been delivered are brought to the workshop for updating.

Until the problem at all customer vehicles is solved, the ADAC advises users of the model, the charging if possible, before removing the plug from the charging station or via the app.

This is an important step by Great Wall Motors to ensure the safety of their electric cars and to respond to customer feedback.
